Yuli and Keyur did a 148.9 (which is a 154-155 on the old meters) and I did a 147.9 (which is about a 153-154 on the old meters) If you want to build a setup thats somewhat loud, but don't go into a class with alot of heavy hitters mini-street might be a good idea for you.. | Yea that is loud
Can you guys actually listen to music in your car... like just pop in a random CD and it sounds great, or are you setup so much for SPL that its not reasonable to turn up the music because of so much bass?

| The best way to learn, is just to goto the competions, talk to people, and just get a chance to learn what's really going on. That's what I did this summer, met a bunch of good people.
Just be friendly, ask questions, and I;m sure you'll have tons of people willing to help you out.

Most people there are more than helpfull and will do everything they can to give you a hand.. once and a while you will run into someone that's a little less helpfull but all in all most people are! |

| see now i agree, show and spl generally dont mix well, ive seen some WICKED nice set ups, but they hit high 130s-mid 140s for the most part, sure thats loud, but by no means good enuff to take street classes now
in my opinion the classes to be successful in are like the 3+ sub classes, cus most of the serious competitors are running street or super street 1-2
and hittin high 140s - low 150s, where as (at least out here) most 3-4 cars are running mid 140s with the odd low 150
but ive yet to see a good looking install beat out a plain MDF box built right, by someone who knows what they are doin
if u wanna go more showy and SQ maybe IASCA is the way to go vs db drag? cus db drag u can have the sweetest install in the world and it means nothin least in iasca u get points for it
just some thoughts, good luck

| Ok, I think you've guys convinced me. I think I'm going to wind up getting into this. I mean... The speakers are in the back of the car, so I can at least do up the front part, and do my performance work.
Next question... where can I take my car to have it evaluated for its chances with its current system, and don't say No chance in hell!
