ok my question is probably known to a lot of the gurus on here but i'm still a little new to car audio.

basically, what would "produce more bass", two 12'' woofers that are 250 rms/750 max ie two alpine type e's or four 12'' woofers that are 150 rms/300 max ie the rockford p1's?

i chose these because added together they have around the same power output, but i'm not sure how big of a role that plays other than that both combos could run off the same amp, i think.

wait let me change the comparison, i'm an idiot and should have used what i have now.

two older 12'' cerwin vega vmax subs 300rms/600max watts or four 12'' rockford p1s 150rms/300max watts. which would give me "more bass"?

i know you get more bass with more surface area but i know power plays a role as well so i would like to know if i would get better knock with the four subs with less power per sub but the same overall as the two subs or two subs with more power individually. any help or insight would be appreciated
