I had a chance to hear them on the factory BE wildly expensive passives. A really good sounding speaker. Worth the $?....for me, not really. They are nice and detailed but I personally thought they lacked the impact/dynamics that Itend to like in my listening music.

Nice though....just not for me.

that's true, I woulde for sure go active with those, but that's no different that me going to futureshop looking to buy a surround sounds amp, and having to demo it in just 2 ch stereo...

just my thoughts though. Mark

Brian the Focal rep here. Of course the BE Crossblock will make a difference. The componants are the highest grade possable. This being said, the Axeon caps in the K2P crossover are above most used in any other componant set. You can't really compare the coils as the BE's use a multitap coil for the Crossblock flexability. The gauge in of the coils in the Crossblock is similar to hanger wire. The flexability of the Crossblock is also significantly greater than the K2P crossover although I don't know of many car audio crossovers that are as flexable as the K2P crossover. Although the K2P crossover does not show the best the BE's can be, niether does a display board. Taste the BE's at Lee's and you be the judge. BTW Guy from Focal has no problem using the K2P crossover with the Utopia BE's if you don't have a big enough stack of cash.
