there is no question that the implemntation of the alpine f#1 processor will make 99.9% of everyones stereo sound better. its worth every penny and more. 5k is a bargain for what the pxah900 gives you

Dave,
Now that you have the Focal Be's and the F1 status speakers which do you find to be the better speaker?

Sure you could say they both have there strong point but you have always been a no bones about it kind of guy so?

Are there strong differences once you install them in a car from the display board? (Come to life more, less responsive off axis..)

It would be a personal opinion of course but one I'd like to hear none the less.

I just installed the F900 and component set for a customer. Nice stuff for sure. But I would have rathered the components didnt come with the crossover.

Without crossovers I would have gone that way instead of AVI.

I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce.

icon, i heard 2 cars at finals that had the focal be's in them, one was marinally impressive and the othe was quite impressive, niether were were in my top 5 cars at finals. are they nice yes, could i live without them and be happy, yes, could i live without the alpine f#1 components, yes but i would be sad. i quite like the focal be 5", it is as good but different sounding as the f#1 6", but the be tweeter as nice as it is, could learn a lesson or 2 from the alpine, particularily in the off axis freq response and linearity at modest volumes. the alpine f#1 tweeter is the best tweeter i have ever heard with the exception of the morel mdt33, hands down the best tweeter in the world, imo,
