Sarah McLachlan - Angel

In this track at one moment it's like her voice is shifting from center to the right and then come back to center.

Is it my setup that is having difficulties reproducing her voice or it's the recording? I dont have a good pair of headphone to test it myself...

This doesn't make sense unless You have surround sound- songs recorded on a standard CD are stereo, not 4.1 or 5.1... correct me if I'm wrong

i am very familiar with this track....its kind of a crappy recording and her voice and a few parts of the trach seem to shift if you are having some left to right frequncy response issues.....if you listen to it on a set of home speakers and sit in the middle it doesnt shift

The transition between the mid and midbass was problematic, the level of the midbass was set a bit too high on the passenger side.

Thanks for your help

Interesting ..... I wonder if this is my problem also. How can I go about uncrowding my left side? When I listen to the "Seven drum beats" on the 2001 IASCA disk (think it's track 17???) The beats on the left side seem crowded... middle to right seem perfectly spaced.

Can anyone help .... I've got one tweet in the sail bezel and one in the A pillar on each side. Right side seems great, left side not so great ...

Not sure what doesnt make sense to you here because the dudes question was pretty straight up and easy to understand to anyone that has even a basic idea on how stereo imaging is supposed to work. You dont need a multichannel surround system to produce a center image in case that is what you dont understand all you need is proper speaker placement and/or time alignment and you will get your center.

Have you tried lowering the level on the left using the balance?
Did you adjust your TA with the distance or by ears?

Before adding mids in the dash my staging was starting from under the window line on the left to reach the middle of the windshield in the center and going back at the window line at the right.

Our problem (minivan) is that the speakers in the doors are at our feet and our ears are far from them since we sit high. Like me, you will probably need to add some mids in the dash to bring the stage back up.

What are YOU talking about? i am talking about that he asked if its the SONG or his system. If You read my post carefully you will understand that song cannot play 4 channels separately (this will be required for having different sound coming out from the back and the front, since left and right is already separate). I hope You understand my post now.
