| As the title states, I'm looking at getting a Kicker ZX350.4 and would like some 2ohm speakers seeing as my cheap lightning audio's can't keep up without distorting badly. the amp is rated at 90w at 2ohms and unfortunately my budget is pretty low, about 150. so far I've only been able to find Infinity kappa 60.7cs or kappa62.7i on ebay. I'd like to find a solution that is either a set of coax's that can take some power or some components like the Digital designs ddc6.5 that allow you to mount the tweeter on the mid bass because I may not have the car to long and don't want to punch holes to mount the tweeters in it. |

| If you aren't planning (or don't have the processing) to go active I would suggest bridging that 350.4 to 2channels and just find a decent set of comps that sound to your liking.
Infinity's are a great bang for the buck comp set. Depends on if you like their sound though. Not that they're bad sounding in any way but I don't know your tastes so..... |

| I have the kappa 60.7, and I like the way they sound, but be warned, if you don't like powerful(metallic, extra crisp) tweeters, then these are not for you. I like very powerful tweeters, and these Infinitys are right up my alley. The 2ohm is great as it allows my amps to produce full power to them(111watts to the mids, and 30 watts to the tweets, which is more than enough, they're rated for 50watts). The extra power really brings the system to life, and i can safely say that the Infiitys don't distort at all, even with a low cross over setting of 60 hz for the mids, and 3500hz for the tweets, and very loud (30/35) on my Alpine deck. Everything is all active with 24db slopes. I've even experimented with the tweeters down to 1000 hz and a 30 db slope, but I'll admit I was not comfortable with it that low, even though it did sound nice. I was afraid of frying them!! Anyway, I suggest you take a listen to them before you buy, you might like them.

| Why the dislike for 2 ohm speakers? The reason I'd like 2 ohm is to maximize the amp that I'm getting, at 2 ohms the zx350.4 is rated at 90w rms. Which even if I'm able to upgrade my subs I should have plenty of power available so they aren't drowned out like they are now, and that's only with half power to my subs now |
