Ok, so I have two 15" kicker cvr's. I first gave them 5cu ft each now I am giving them 3.5. But, I am almost 100% sure that I am buying a new and SMALLER vehicle and I will only have room for probly 4 cuft TOPS. Meaning, each sub will only get 2 cubic feet. Do you guys think the sq will suck with such a small space? Would you recomend buying smaller subs or do you guys think I can make two 15's work? (they will be goin in a chevy aveo hatchback).

From what I understand, a smaller box like that will produce a peakier response - 4 cubes sounds better suited to a single 15 or pair of 12's to me. Then again, I'm talkin' outta my ass when it comes to SQ, but I guess I usually am anyway.

2 cubes per sub will be alright sealed, but ported would suck. Even 4 cubic feet gross will be on the small side for a single ported 15. Try a sealed box, they are easy to throw together, and go from there.

I think I have a problem.

2 15" subs in a Aveo... are you crazy man!!!

The Kickers do like a large box... these are very high Q subs, going smaller in the enclosure size will limit lower end more and more (the deeper you go, the more of a loss), on a 15" model this isn't as big of a deal though as with a smaller sub with a faster rolloff.
I wouldn't suggest going smaller than 3 cubic feet and even then it's not really ideal... it will be peaky and have a huge bass note in the 65-75Hz region though.
But transient response will suffer as will lowend compared to a proper size enclosure.

Personally I'd run one, it will be plenty loud already and give it the enclosure it deserves... maybe even go ported.

Best of luck

well when i first started out i had a 15 inch kicker comp vr in a sealed 1.2 cf box and honestly it wailed pretty god, great low end and some good punch considering it was a 15...idealy u want to give that sub a large ported enclosure as that will let it hit the lows its made to but my sub was pretty versitile and sounded nice and loud in a very limited size box i hope it works out for u, i miss my kicker she was stolen from me

Holy crap, only using one subwoofer. That is a grand idea. I would not have to worry as much about my electrical system then. I have to think about that one deeper... Would you guys suggest facing the sub towards the roof? That seems like the only way in my opinion.
