I've narrowed my choices down to these 2 drivers...I'm only looking to put 1 in my trunk. SQ is my main goal, however from time to time I'd like to adjust the Bass Engine and get some decent SPL out of it. Any thoughts?

I am thinkin about using a Fosgate Power 1000 5 channel to power the entire system. That would allow for about 600 watts for the sub at 2 ohm or even a little more from what I've seen on the factory rating sheets. I'd like to keep it as simple as possible.

Keep in mind the Eclipse is only 4 ohm. I have three SW 12's each getting 250W, each sealed 1 cuft, and they're very loud. Two on 750W wasn't as loud, so for having a poor efficiency (81dB), they're great. They move a lot, and the cone noise is minimal if you point them away from you. They sound great and hit LOW.

I put one SW12 in a 2.2 cuft @ 35hz box on 750W and it was almost the same as my 05 RE XXX 12 on 1500W. Get three, seal them in 1.2 cuft each and give them 2000W.
