So i just got my new amp not too long ago, and i've been really annoyed because it seems that somehow i've got a turn on pop going on. even tho my new amp (Clarion DPX1800) has an anti-pop feature listed in the manual. Never had this problem with my old amp, only with the new one, and i didn't really change anythign while putting it in.

anybody know a cause/solution for this? i looked around the web a bit but coudln't find anything other than a description of what it was.

THanks.

What else do you have in your system? Does the pop happen on every turn on the amp?

Do you have your amp turn on wired to your deck? That usually happens when your deck sends a quick voltage spike to the amp when it turns on, and if your amp is on before your deck it will pop. The same thing can happen when you turn everything off, it just depends on your deck and the way your amp is wired.

the rca's run straight from the sub out to the amp. the turn on is wired to the deck as well. Panasonic CQ-C7301U deck, clarion dpx1800 amp. using the built in EQ and crossover on the deck. Happens every time as far as i know/can remember, but its not really that loud or anythign, so i only notice it when i listen for it. i'll see if i can figure out a way that it doesn't i guess.
