The 880PRS has switchable modes much the same as the Standard and Pro modes of your P1 whereas you can get a 3-way network in Pro mode.

Take a look at the 9255 from Clarion... wicked EQ and X-over section.. and excellent SQ.. The DXZ775 has 3 way, but a more basic EQ

You could just buy any deck you want and then get a Audio Control DQXS and have the best of both worlds!

I use a PRS-880, and I like it for SQ.
A couple of quabbles to note: The access to the audio (sub out level) control requires 2 presses of the Multi-function tuner knob, which if accidentaly pushed sideways, will switch tracks or stations.
Ditto for the volume knob, which changes the source if pushed, instead of turned. Operation on a bumpy road etc will sometimes cause unwanted change of program.
Otherwise an excellant performer with a ton of features. Adjustable slopes, points, and levels, a bit of an "old school" look, with some display bling if you want.
Will play just about any CD, scratched or whatever, and if it does skip, thoughtfully skips ahead 'til it finds cleaner plastic to read. The discs have to be ready for sanding before they'll get stuck.
The option to time align 2 channels of sub is unique I think. I'm not sure if I've used the alignment quite correctly, but I have a sense that the overall SQ is slightly better with the alignment off. Clould be I'm just more used to it that way.
