I've been sellin these things for quite some time now but recently I took a spare pair and made some ported enclosures( port firing back) for them using 3/4" mdf mounted the xovers outside them and decided to power them as my mains from my onkyo amp. I got a Crest pro amp for my subs.
But my many years doin home and car audio with everything Quart Q series KEF uniq's and Dynaudio I've never heard anything so detailed clear and rich in my home and I aint even powered up my crest and ads subs yet.
It's been 3 hours a dozen beers (canadian eh) and no tiring in sight.

They sound almost as large as cerwin vega D9's yet as smooth as Dyn twins

I think Focal was a home-audio company first and a car company second (I can't remember). But I would imagine it would sound awesome

they were originally known as Jm Labs and yes home since the late 70's I believe, and didnt start with car until the 90's

so just did some port tuning and added a center as well as a crest audio power amp instead of just my onkyo and DAMN!!!!
Amazing staging dynamics clarity and detail and even more amazing is the bass responce. I got two old school ads 12's that are powered by a crest audio cpx 900 that are now turned off.
For the longest time I've ran custom made Jm labs (blew these up drunk partying)or dyn twins with sub and bi amped and these are killin what I thought was the best.
Just was listenin to some chesky cd's and now some fiddy cent and DAAAAYUUUM.
I just need to find a car with the room to make these enclosures and placement.??????
