I'm looking for a nice SQ sub for my Audison Srx1 mono amp.

My front stage consists of a set of Focal 6.5 components powered by an Audison Srx4 bridged into 2 channel mode.

I've been researching and I have been looking mostly at the Focal Polyglass 27v2. It's rated at 300w nominal and 600w maximum. And has dual 4ohm voice coils.

Will the Srx1 power this sub or will it be extremely under powered?
The srx1 is rated at 350w at 2ohms/210w at 4ohms

Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I have also been looking at the Hertz Audio ES250D. Haven't heard much about these subs though.

From Focal I only like the KX subs.

I've ran a pair of the Hertz ES250, and they are nice woofers, but I wouldn't run them again. If I were you I'd do the focal.

As for my experience with the Hertz, I went with more of an SPL set-up, even though I was only giving 350 watts to the pair. They took a lot of abuse (by abuse I mean having them in a 4.5 CF box, and running 20 hertz notes through them) but eventually met their doom.

Thanks for the advice so far. So far I'm still leaning toward the Focal 27v2, but I'm still unsure if I will get good SQ from this sub using my srx1. Or will I?

I have the third channel of my Audison SRX 3(IIRC it does ~250W into 4 Ohms) driving my Focal 27V2(Sealed box) and it has plenty of power for any listening levels I want to submit my ears to
