Well, it's kinda done. 800W for my frontstage in a semi-active setup.

Components are as follows.
Speakers :
CDT DRT-25 tweeters
CDT ES-4 gold 4" Midrange
CDT ES-07 gold 7" Midbass / midrange
CDT ES-06+ 6.5" Midbass / Sub

X-overs :
CDT MX-1000 Ultra Flexible 3-way x-over

Amps :
Soundstream TRA800.2 2 X 200W@4ohms (two of em')

Headunit :

Eclipse CD5000

Tweeters, ES-4s and ES-07's are on the passive x-over, highpassed at around 140~150hz. ES-06+ are lowpassed at around the same frequency and highpassed at 45hz. All direct on the amps. I've just started tuning a bit, and, all I can say, is this stuff gets REALLY loud, and stays clean. It's more of an SQL setup I think...... but, no subs yet. Keep in mind, the 06+s will find their way into the doors when time and materials and tools permit. But, right now, this gives me an idea of the sound I'll be getting out of these.

that looks really cool, dosne't the sub come in the way of the foot area and like distract you when driving?....

i say if you wanted to go beyond, the passenger subwoofer in the glove deparment area, and driver sub like behind your seat or soemthing or right under the clutch the hand rest thing...it'll look crazy...

That kind of power is nice on the front end. I run 900watts myself and a couple of guys on here are over 1kw up front.

Nice. I'm running 600 on 1 set of comps. I love big power upfront, wish I had a nice enough car to make mid bass drivers worth the trouble.

from his post it sounds like he wants to install them in the doors.

I like the idea fiberglassed false floor enclosure which might work....

Looks great so far. I wasn't sure myself, but my future setup of 800w (Orion 8004) to a set of CDT comps (CF's) seems like it'll be fine. Thanks.
Keep us posted!

I have 200x4 + 30x4 amps, but I bet I'm using less than 50% of the power most of the time. heh.
