My current setup is 2 12" P3's (dual 4 ohms)in a ported box running off a t5001bd which is giving out 987wrms@ 1ohm. I have a t3002 lying around that I used to power both of them with before, and would like to know that if I use both amps at 2 ohms to run each 4 ohm sub, can they take it. Here are the power ratings:

T3002: 689wrms@ 2ohm in mono mode---> powering one sub
T5001BD: 710wrms@ 2ohm---> powering the other sub

The P3s are rated at 500wrms/1000max, but im not to sure if they can handle the 710/689 if I feed it to each of them. I know some subs are able to handle more than there RMS rating, like the Type R for example. I pump my music hard when I drive (prolly have the volume at 15-20 on an Alpine deck), and I listen a lot of hip-hop/reggae music. My car is a 2006 Mazda 3, and I have an Optima Red Top under the hood. If im able to use both amps, im going to use a Power Acoustik 4 farad cap. Please help me out with this. Am I able to use the 2nd amp in this car? Will it work properly without killing my alternator (90amp)?

If my subs cannot handle the extra power, I am considering the following sub choices:

- 2 12" Kicker L5's (Dual 4 ohm)
- 2 12" RF T1's or 2 15" RF T1's (if they can fit) [Dual 4 ohm]
- 2 12' Cerwin Vega Vmax or 2 15" VMAX (if they can fit) [Dual 4 ohm]
- 2 12" RE Audio SE12's or 2 15" RE Audio SE15's (if they can fit) [Dual 4 ohm]
- 2 12" Type R's or 2 15" Type R's [if they can fit] (Dual 4 ohms)

If you think all my options suck and there are better subs out there then plz tell me that and suggest something better lolll. Im looking for a GOOD pair of subs that can take around 600wrms, but if my P3's can take it then im not gonna buy a new pair. Thank you for your time towards my car audio dilemma .
