i'm looking in the $100-150 range

wondering what brands/models can give a good bang for the buck
currently have an alpine mrp-f450 (40w rms per chan @4ohm), but plan to upgrade to 70-100W per chan in the summer

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

when it comes to speakers you can find good bang for the buck....
when it comes to passive crossovers, you can't.....

I'd look at going active....

are you able to squeeze 6.5 in? if so, go with the phoenix gold rsd comps.
people are getting very good results with these and can be had for about $100 after shipping
they take lots of power like a champ and sound pretty awesome for the money.
