Best Tweeters? If I had the cash here's my short list. All are awsome,

Scan Speak D2904/6000
Scan Speak R2904/7000
Morel MDT44
SEAS T25-002 "millennium"

If those are too rich for your blood here are some alternatives that are actully affordable.

Vifa XT25 Neo
Seas 27TDC06

You can go wrong with any of them!
I chose the XT25 for my car. Plays low loud and still has all the detail I could ask for from a budget tweeter.

Why do I have the feeling that some of the recommendations listed so far haven't been listened to before.....

I would rank the Scan D2904/6000 and the SEAS T25-002 very highly. Two of the absolute best tweeters I have heard, and certainly not cheap either.

I've used all of the units I suggested either in a car or home system. I did not own all of them, but I have had the chance to listen at great length to each tweeter. I would have used SEAS 27TDC if I had the room, great low cost tweeter.
