Howdy again all, I've been on hiatus busy with the new toy (2000 Suzuki GSX-R 600) lately, so audio hasn't much been on my mind.

However, looking at installing a stereo into my next vehicle and thinking of doing 8's in the doors, along with subs in the back and a set of components up front as well.

But this begs the question, do you run your midbass stereo or mono? Would it make a difference taking into account that the midrange would (obviously) be stereo and the sub bass mono from a single sub.

Opinions? Experiences?

Thanks guys!
Joel

Midbass frequencies are still high enough (even from 80 and up) to be directional and recorded possibly in stereo. I would leave them in stereo and not mono.

I agree with Sux....keep it stereo.

mono, midbass could really screw up the imaging for stuff like kick-drums and lower brass instruments.
