| I am having a tough time getting any smooth bass response out of a pair of freeair door speakers, and would like to explore the possibility of AP mats to enhance my up-front mid/sub bass.
I have noticed that freeair does not give the type of punchy bass that I would like(regardless of sound dampening, and driver), and sealed is barely feasable in my application because I can barely get .15 cuft. Who has any experience with this type of challenge, and what soloutions are there to getting bass out of a small door?
Any expertise is appreciated...

Do they mount behind the speaker in a wee little sealed enclosure? Do they work well for a mid bass?

| That's what I had in mind.
I would imagine that it would be roughly 5-6" in diameter, and be a handful of fiberglass sandwiched between mesh? Does this sound about right?

| Exactly. I have a pair of the ScanSpeak at my place right now - the inside grate pops off so you can add or remove for tuning if desired.
They're about 4" of grille area and 5" OD | |

| Those said ScanSpeaks of Dukks will be making their way in the kick panels of my truck  My 7" B&W midbass will be playing into the kick panel cavity through the variovent.
