I can only speak to the front stage, but I am running the 4150 XXK right now with my Focal K2P's in an active setup. I would not hesitate to buy an ARC amp again, they are awesome. I can turn up the volume until I can barely sit in the car and the sound still remains clear as a bell. My next amp for my front stage in a few years will likely be an Audison, but the ARC is definitely just a small step down, and for much less money.

They are SQ amps, I don't believe they are SPL amps. People into SQ who have owned them love them.

100% satisfied here. You would not be disappointed if you picked one up.

Added notes: PEI330Ci makes some good points, I have heard similar statements about the Audison's. With respect to heat, personally, I have never even had my amp get really hot (the 4150XXK amp has a cooling exhaust fan), but amps can get hot, thats just the way they work. The more power, the more heat. If your amp is getting hot, I wouldn't worry too much about it, its probably just dissipating its heat well. Dissipating heat is better than heat being contained in the amp.

Also, one other reason I got the ARC is that it is small for its power. It doesn't take up a lot of space. It is the 21st century, there is no reason amps have to be half the size of your car in order to put out 400 watts or more, but a lot of manufacturers still make huge amps, and there's no need for it (Rockford's new Power line are criminals in this department). I'd rather conserve the space and weight, and still have a better amp [img]smile.gif[/img]

Arc is recomended my Image Dynamics. My buddy has one running his cdt 6.5". It may not be much to the pro sq-er, but it is by far the fullest, most complete sounding setup that i have ever heard. I love it.

jaretz28: I have owned and used both the 2100 XXK and the 4150 XXK and would not hesitate to recommend those amps to anyone.

Arc Audio's KAR series of amps are excellent value for the money.

I take it you heard this car at Audiowaves?

Funny thing is that happens to be my car & I haven't had any problems related to heat.

Even Jason remarked the amp just gets warm to the touch. Not bad considering it's buried under two Audison Vrx's.

As far as SQ is concerned, the 2500XXK was the amp of choice for Image Dynamics for testing subs.

I agree that in that very limited amount of space any amp should be expected to get hot/warm.

I also believe that you think I'm putting the amp down or something. Your wrong and I enjoyed very much listening to your car, it was easily one of the best sounding cars I've ever heard tonnaly. I also think you made a very good choice in picking the XXk2500 to run the Phase subs, because they seem to love it. It puts out more than enough power and those subs just eat it up.

I was simply stating that for the money one pays for the XXK it's, IMO, nothing special. I have also heard the CXL2500 and other than the heatsink, there's very little difference, but of course Mark Bruno or Tom could elaborate a little more on that for us I'm sure.

I appologize if I have offended you in any way, that's not what I was aiming for, I hope I have cleared things up for you as to what I was getting at with my first post.
