Hi guys

Ive just upgraded to a mdr-m1001 and a type x 12".

I installed everything myself but have no idea on how to tweak this as it is a digital read out instead of knobs. I tried to go by what the manual says but it made it sound horrible.

Crossover Type : 12/24dB Octave Low Pass - Digital
Low Pass Crossover Frequency (Selectable) : 30Hz - 200Hz (1/12 oct. Steps or Off)
Number of Time Correction Channels : 1
Parametric EQ "Width" (Selectable) : 0.5,1,2,3,4,5 ("Q")
Parametric EQ Frequency (Selectable) : 30 Hz - 160Hz (1/12 Oct. Steps)
Parametric EQ Level (Selectable) : ±12dB (1dB Steps)
Subsonic Filter Range : 15Hz - 50Hz (5Hz Steps) or OFF
Subwoofer Level Adjustment Range (With RUX-4180 or RUX-4280 Connected) : -15dB to 0dB (11 Steps RUX-4280)
Subwoofer Phase Control : Normal (0°) or Reverse (180°)
Time Correction Adjustment Range : 0 - 10 mSec. (0.1mSec. Steps

If anyone could help me with this that would be great

to start try this
24db/octave xover
71h xover point
subsonic filter 20hz turned on
leave the parametric alone for the time being
set level range to -10
phase at 0
leave time correction alone
if you arent fortunate enough to be able break your woofer in with a tone and break in board and will be doing it in real time, aka driving, be prepared for a legnthy break in period of at least 30 hours of medium to high volume

keep in mind that this is a starting point, go to where it was purchased and ask them to assist you in setting it up, for the $$$ you just paid they should have offered to do for you
