Well i finally got my whole 3-way set installed and it sounds pretty nice although i think my mid-bass enclosures are too small and limiting output.

Anyways for some reason my drivers side tweeter sounds like its blown or something. It sounds like its trying to produce frequencies it cant while the passenger side is fine. Now i accidently sprayed some paint on the tweeter and im thinking that might be the cause of the problem? What do you think?

are you sure that you dont have the passive between the mid and tweeter backwards(if you are using passive)and a bit of paint shouldnt make the sound you are describing

i was thinking that, i made sure the wires werent touching each other but i will disconnect them and make sure there not wired backwards at the passive.

If they are do you think the tweet would be blown?

Try the driver side tweet on the passenger side.

Do this, it is a very good way to troubleshoot.

Now, does the problem follow the speaker, or does it stay on the drivers side?

How much paint did you actually get on it ?

Extra mass could effect response... also possible the paint is causing the diafram to stick to the frame ???
