| Ok, to be simple, this means tuning for both seats.
Here's my question.
Has anyone tuned a car for both 1 seat, and 2 seat listening?
I'm finding a big improvement in imaging tuning for 1 seat. But...I'm finding tonality to be easier to get good with 2 seat tuning.
My head is spinning.... |

| IMO, if you have tuned the car to sound it's best for 2-seat listening, then I would think that would mean it sounds great from each of those 1 seats. I can't see how you can get it to sound good from 2 seats but yet it be worse from 1 seat, ya know?
Sure, it'll be easier to make it sound good for just 1 seat but if you can get that same sound for 2 seats you are laughing, but then again, that's harder to do.

| Two seat tuning is really easy. Take out the front seats and sit in the back. May have some issues driving the car, but hey.......... like the man said, it's all about compromise. If you have a pickup truck though........ fergit 'bout it |

| I'll clarify.
I can get better imaging tuning for 1 seat.
I can get better overall tonality when tuning for both seats.
I'd like to hear from people that have had similar experiences using time alignment.

| i have had varying sucess with tuning for both seats and drivers only, i am always able to get better image(the most difficult thing to achieve imo) with 1 seat tuning. i have had the tonality issue that pei has mentioned but it is vehicle and speaker placement specific obviously |

| Dukk prefers tonality to imaging so this is not a big deal to me. |

| I don't really see how time alignment can affect the tone, but I'm an amateur, so what do I know...
With the time alignment on my deck, I'm able to save up to six custom settings to memory. That way, I can work on 2-seat and 1-seat settings separately, and switch it as often as I care to. |
