Got the demo at Axis eh? Just my opinion, but it's a well-built, well-designed amp with very ugly looks at a price that doesn't nearly justify the construction.

If it was 1/10 the price, no one would even say that much about it.

I agree, I far prefer the stylings of the other audison amps.

Every review that I've seen on this amp, is nothing but rave reviews !!

The cosmetics are a personal thing.......either you love it or hate it !!
Personally I think it's pretty damn cool, it looks completely different from anything else that is out there.
But it's really about the SQ with this amp.

SUX 2B U - what did you think of the sound differance between the THESIS and the VRX amps ??

The VRX sounds great until you play the THESIS.

The PRICE .............well, you want the BEST, you dont get it for pennies.
Remember, this amp is from the land of Ferrari's - and damn if they're not expensive.

It's all relative to your income - the guy that has the money and can afford the BEST, will buy the BEST.
Everyone else..........including me, have to step down the food chain a bit !!

Cheers.

funny, but in testing, the tru technology A class stomped on the Thesis, at half the price. but then again, ferrari could market a chevette as a luxury car and people would pay 500 grand for it.

so why is it so special. any good engineer should be able to look over that amp and clone it!! and it should sound almost the same. (that is to say that an amp can sound different from another amp). so what then makes this amp so expensive?? as we all know the heatsink is the most expensive part of any amp and that heatsink shouldnt cost more that 100.00 bucks, hell the heatsink on my 2100hcca only cost 52.usd to make, got that when i was at the factory talking to mark busier the chief enginner, this amp shouldnt cost more than 2 to 3 hundred dollars to make. i met keith peterson the owner of phenoix gold at ces in 2000 and i asked him what it cost him to make an xs2500 amp. total cost, box and everything, he said just under 100 usd. now the orion 2100hcca amp according to sam taylor from orion told me that his amp cost them about 190usd to make packaging and all. what makes the audison components so much better to justify the price?? are we to belive that there engineers are better than ours and have simply built a better amp; that we arnt capable of copying?? people its just an amp!! like a fosgate or tru or butler or or or or...... tell me you can here the differnce at 60 miles and hour with the window rolled down... or windows up and air conditioner/heater on, oh and with no traffic around!! it just dont make no sense at all to me.. i will stick to my 400 watt, 1/2 din , 7 band rockwood eq/amp with pretty red and green light on the eq sliders!!! powering my kricket 6x9s

Thanks all for your replys guys.....

I'm more interested in mainly the "sounnd" of the Thesis..... We all know the price is sort of out of range for 99.9% of the general public. and the look is love it or hate it thing.

The difference between the VRX & the THESIS was impressive! It was all in the tonal details, inner details and dynamic contrast etc.

For the noise level in the car wise....... I usually do serious listening while its parked.

The Tru technology class a beat the thesis in a listening test and it is a lot cheaper. i would go with the tru technology over the audison any day of the week. on ECA (elite care audio) someone agreed that the tru class a is the best amp that they'd ever heard or tested (can't remeber if he said tested or listened) over the thesis.
