i thought about replacing the tweeters with
MTX TX-1000

would this be a wise move?

Changing your speakers is often the easiest way to make your car sound different. Not better, just different. I'm not sure what your install is like, so I can't comment. Macrom is good stuff, so my first thought is whats wrong with the install thats making you think different speakers will fix it?

tweeters need to be small to be more responsive so a bigger tweeter sometimes is not allways better also the best reason to change a tweeter is if you find the to harsh or that you want it harsh for rock and metal .... or maybe the sound is just not the way you want it to sound but you get my point if you like your tweeters now dont bother change jsut for looks .. you might just regret ?? never know lol

Sorry. It just sounded funny because a tweeter is a speaker. Anyway... what fozzz was pointing out is the fact that perhaps moving your tweeters to a different position may be the solution to better sound.
