Hello everyone, its my first time here.
I like to have a nice sound in my car but i don't know much about it.
I had a mazda rx8 with a decent stock sound system in it,so i didn't bother changing anything + i owned it for a really short time.

So here it goes.
I just bought a brand new Ford Ranger 09 with double cab.
The sound in it is very bad and i cant enjoy my music.
Since i just bought it i spent a lot of money and but i still have some left to work on the sound.

I would like to take out the stock speakers from it, put 2 nice speakers in the front and for the back i want some subs.

So i would like to know what i need, and what kind of setup will be within my budget.

2 nice speakers for the front,2 subs in the back(12" at least),amp?

right now i can spend around 700 $

Since im new at this i wouldnt want to get something that will sound shitty.
Or something that will give me just the bass, and no good sound quality.

Any suggestions?
Make-model-size-price?

Iw got a stock deck for now but i will change that too, thats not included in this budget,i will probably be able to get that in a month or so.

Front speakers are going to be 5x7" (a 6x8" will fit and a 6.75" component set up will fit). If the goal is to keep inside of your budget though, lose the components and go to a good set of coax speakers. The Eclipse 5x7" will do just fine here.

Personally, I would not waste money on a interface adaptor to hook subs up to the factory deck and then throw it away next month when you buy the cd player. I would buy the cd player now, get some good speakers and perhaps a amp that will power them. Then next month I would add the subs and the amp to power them. You will go far further this way than how you want to proceed.

That said though, the choice is really up to you. A basic interface (LOC) but still a respectable one is going to set you back $40 right out of the gate and as mentioned will be useless when you buy the new cd player. After that your subs, amp and box are determined by what is left in your budget once you take out tax, the front speakers and the LOC.

Are you going to be building your own box or are you going to just buy a prefab and hope for the best? What makes you want to have two subs when one may be more than enough in that small cab? Are you open to changing the method that you are going to build your system?

Ok i looked up those Eclipse speakers, the price is reasonable.
I can do that too,go with the cd player and the speakers for the front now.
Let the subs wait.
Eclipse speakers (i looked up some prices on the internet 50-80 $ a piece)
So for the cd player... Pioneer,Alpine maybe? iw seen some ridicoulously expensive ones and i don't really need a monster cd player,it just has to be good enough to run the rest of the stuff i want in the truck. so what model should i get? I want to buy right the first time, and not waste money on something i will have to replace in a few months.

As for the subs,if i don't have any money left after the cd player and the front speakers. they can wait another month.

The box im building myself,i have the tools, the materials and all the help i need from my buddys.

So that leaves me with chosing the subs and the amp.

I heard that kicker subs are good the comp vr series...
2 12" or maybe 15"... would that be ok?

And for the amp,i dont know, your opinion? I'm not big on this stuff.

And i can go up to 1000 $ for now if needed.
