do you mean a built in amplifer?

your not sure of the year of the vehical? so you put a range

I didn't know something that old came with a sub

what I would do is replace all of the stock components with aftermarket ones

sub, amplifier, deck, speakers

JL audio has a nice five channel amp, 500w rms total, (250x1, 100x2 and 25x2)

look at the back of the stock deck and see if there is an extra set of speaker wires... the deck may have powerd it... if thats the case then you will need an amp.... just one that will put out 150W max cuz stock sucks lol... oh shit maby i should have red that but just see how much power it takes cuz most amps have a speaker imput up to like 50W... you could do it that way and just turn down the lpf

i know i'm bringin this back, but havent had any time
the "sub" is a 6x9, not really a sub, and i was told there is an amp under it, but it is not connected to the deck.
i also wanted to know to wire the tweeters, do i have to cross them with the front speakers?
