What I have in mind

-Replacing all Factory speakers & Head unit
-Getting a (Double DIN) Head-unit with about 200watts RMS to 4 Channels(Detachable faceplate?)
-500-600 Watt RMS Amp for the Subs which would be ideally 2 10" in a small-mid sized ported cabinet

And I just cant decide on anything.. Except probably Rockford for the amp..

Suggestions please? >_<

Edit: Oh, I'd like to have the Amp run to a Farad cap just to keep it running smooth.

Lose the cap for starters, come up with a budget and keep expanding on what it is you want to do. What other upgrades in the future for example? Does the DD unit need to have GPS or just a dvd transport for example.

In the range of $700-900, But preferably nothing over a grand, but if suggestions were to really grab my eye that might go out the window.

As for the head unit;
-IPod support
-4"+ LCD Display
-MP3 Compatibility
-DVD Compatibility would be nice but not required
-GPS not required

Not sure if that's asking too much for that price range..

As I said 4" + - if A 7" is possible in that price range, I'm all for it.

If a last years model will work for you then I have a great offering from Pioneer. It a dvd chassis, 6.5" touchscreen, USB input, MP3, Ipod ready, exactly what you are after. This unit will come in under the $500 mark actually. The amplifiers in any head unit are going to struggle to give you 20w rms x , so if you are expecting more power, be prepared to add it at a later date.

I have a great deal on a high end Eclipse amp and sub combo. They are about 50% off of normal retail right now. The catch though is that the amp and subs are going to kill your budget all on your own and the shipping is not going to be cheap (but the savings in the product more than makes up for it). I would in this case be more tempted to head into one good 12" in the proper ported cabinet. Are you trying to get loud with the sub or just get some good results?

I think a combination of both; I have no intentions of rolling around rattling everything to high hell, but a nice umph when I turn it up and an overall nice sound is probably what I'm after
