i was installing subs in my car
everything was goin fine
untill i try to ground the black wire, which runs from
amp to ground location
the other end of the ground wire which connects
to the amp was un-hooked and once the grounding
was complete i hooked the wire into the amp

as i was hooking the ground wire into the amp
there were big sparks at the ground location
it surely didnt look normal to me, as i have never seen
such big sparks while connecting ground wire to the amp
then i checked and both the amp fuses were blown

am i doing something wrong here?
wat could be the reason behind blown fusues and big sparks?
plz help!

IF you had the power hooked up before the ground, yes, you can get a big spark. You can also hurt the amps, that's why they have fuses.
Good luck.
They way to install is to hook up everything, check and double check everything, then apply power by installing the main fuse after you charge the caps if you have them.

re-read his answer. hook it all up, check, check again, then put the main fuse in. while you're hooking up anything, there should be no power coming through, the main fuse at the battery should not be installed, and you should have had the negative battery cable disconnected from the start. You're causing an arc as the wire gets close to the connectors...that's not good as it usually means a spike in the voltage and current(blows your fuses).

Here's another suggestion. You may have nhurt the amp already, but you can check it with an ohm meter. Read the ohms accross the + and - inputs. It should be open.
Also, you get a big spark if you had power on your remote wire before hooking it up?
Last thing you do is apply power, then turn on the HU and let it turn on the amp by remote.
