my amp is stable at a 2ohm load.
I have 2 - 15" rf dvc 4ohm subs.
Is it possable to wire these for a 2 ohm load?
This will double my power if it can be done.

1 ohm, 4 ohms or 16 ohms. You can't forget about the full series option. Every car audio amp deep down really wants a 16 ohm load

Quick question for teamaerostar:
Is the Amp mono or stereo?
If it is mono, you are out of luck as redzone indicated.
If it is stereo, then it is 2 ohm stable in stereo. Then you connect one sub to the left, and one sub to the right, and wire the 4 ohm DVCs parallel and that will give each stereo channel a 2 ohm load.

2 ohm stereo = 4 ohm mono.

That all depends what leaving it as is means. We don't know how you have it currently wired. If you have the amp bridged and all of the sub + connected straight to the amp - DON'T Keep that running! That is a 1 ohm load which is detrimental to a 2 ohm stereo amp.

If you mean keep your equipment. Yes, it will work fine.
But now you have to choose what set up you want, stereo or bridged. Both will net the same end power.

If you do stereo, connect both + of one sub to the L+ on the amp, and the - of the same sub to the L- of the amp. Do the same with the other sub to the right channel. That will give you 2 ohm stereo.

If you go bridged, you go from the bridged + on amp to coil#1 +. Then from coil#1 - you go to coil #2 +. From coil#2 - back to bridged - on the amp. Repeat procedure with the second sub.

My personal preference is running stereo because then you avoid wiring the speakers in series.

What amp is that?

I would stick with a 4 ohm mono load man!! Safe route, amp won't/shouldn't heat up...BEtter to be safe and keep your equipment, then to run the risk of burning itup..Just my 2cents worth

ok i was told to do this:

sub #1 ...+ from coil #1 to - on coil #2

sub #2 ...+ from coil #1 to - on coil #2

then told to hook both + from coil 1 &2 to pos on bridged amp

and hook both - from both coils to neg on bridged amp

this should be giving me a 4ohm load on the amp...no?
the amp is an ultimate T3 1000D

edit:
and now that i have drawn it out according to your description I see that i have already done what you sudgested.
