sound problem

i got a problem with how loud my stereo is. someday's i will get in my car and my system will be really really loud when i turn it all the way up and other days i will get in and turn it up and it just wont be loud and i'll dirve around and sometimes it will go back to the loud again but sometimes when i drive around it wont get loud could this be from my battery or my altenator ??? because my amp reads a soild 14 volts to it so im am just really stumped about this problem my setup is in my signature thanks

Cant say forsure, caraudio problem solving isnt as easy as in person.....but I can throw out a possability. Check your rca's inputs on your amp, somtimes they are known to get loose and cut in and out unless they are in the perfect position. Good luck finding a solution to your problem.

What is it that isn't as loud? The Bass or ?

The amps might just be heatsoaked?

Like I said, Im sure that the amp is just switching from Hi current back into Low current, but hey! thats just me!!

ya im working on it im only running 4 ga wire in my car right now an a stock altenator and i dont have the big 3 done so im going to do all that and see what happens

where is the amp ?
what amp ?
what rca's are you running ?
look to see is the rca's ok (are thay comming off ?)
how old is your deck ?
how hot is the amp when this is going on ?

i noticed that in the really hot and humid weather my subs didn`t seem as loud. can`t really think of a probable cause other than the amp not performing as well due to excessive heat but it never went into protection mode, just didn`t seem to hit as hard....wierd.

my amp in on top of my box it is an ultimate T3 500D doesnt matter how hot it is it always does this from loud to not loud thing my deck is pretty much a newer alpine rca's cables r top of the line and there not loose or anything
