1. its like a quick discharging/recharging battery.
2. it helps with voltage drops, keeps voltage around 13+ volts
3. goes inline with your main power wire to the sub amp
4. buy one that you like

I would recommend doing the BIG 3 upgrade first. Capacitors are really meant to help with dimming lights, and voltage drops. But by doing the "big 3" it does the exact same thing.

I wouldn't say the cap goes 'in-line'. Really it goes in parallel (power and ground) and I'd put it on your main power feed for both amps. Mine are connected with 0 ga. to the battery side of my main distribution blocks.

WallyWorld has 1 & 2 farad caps.

Alot of people use a 1 Farad for every 1000W I find that if you double it you will be better off, especially with Caps getting cheaper and cheaper. The Last few installs i have done we were using 2 Farad caps on a Kaption 250.2 HC and were only getting up to .5V drop on a heavey note.

And you can jump you car off your cap if the battery magically dies like mine did the other day....

BIG 3 is essential; however, I find a my .5 mfd cap did wonders for my little system in addition to the big three.
