Just wondering what amp would be Ideal for these drivers. HX2 runs 400wRms and the P16S2's run 60wRms each, totaling 520wRms. I would like to find one as small as possible, to run underneath my passenger seat if possible . All help appreciated.

What are the coils on the hx2? Are they dual 2 or dual 4 - I'm assuming that it is a dvc.

Are you firmly set on only a single amp? consider running two amps - one for the sub; one for the speakers. you can place an amp under each seat (drivers and passengers)

But to make any resonable recommendations, you should post the voice coil set up of the hx2

The Hx2 8" is a dvc 4ohm rated @ 400rms. I guess it would help to mention I will be getting an RF T212D4 (1000rms) in the near future . My original plan was to have my components and 8" Hx2 running at times I dont have the T2 in, but want to be able to remove the Single 12' from te trunk when needed. I guess It would make sence to run each individually to its own source. Any suggestions or experience with smaller amps packing some decent power ? When it comes to amps im clueless, so all help appreciated

Ross, while it's a great amp, I don't think that surfboard is going to fit under his seat......

If you are looking for such a large subwoofer (the new one) and a amp to power it, you are going to be looking at an amp under each seat. You are not going to find a one chassis amp that will power 1000w rms and another 2 channels to drive the components with. If it is one chassis that you must have, consider a dual 2 ohm or single 4 ohm driver and then buy a good 4 channel amp.

Space limitations seem to be a priority with the new amp(s), what size will fit?

You seem to like Rockford so check out the Power Series T4004. It would work good in your 3-channel situation. www.rockfordfosgate.com .

I remember a buddy having a smaller amp in his 98 Dakota. It was an older rockford, it was probably under 12" x 12" x 2" and it was pushing three JL 12's like theres no tomorrow. If I only had his contact to find out which amp it was, any ideas where I can find some of these old rockfords ?

Do you have room for one amp under one seat and one amp under the other? If so then all sorts of options have opened up for you.

We'll, i've come to a conclusion... I dont think it will be possible to fit any decent amps under my seats. If any of you are fimiliar with the 2001 Saturn Sc2 the space under the seats are not too simple to work with. Ive decided to run all my gear in the trunk.. Something I would have liked to avoid, but at this point is my only choice. What I would like to find tho , if possible, is a set of matching amps that could run my components requiring 240wrms, my 8" HX2 pulling 400wrms, and my T212D4 @ 1000wrms. There are so many amps and setups out there that its hard to make a final decision. I myself have been concentrating more on custom installs, and have only a little experience matching and tuning drivers with amp's. So, if someone can step up, and give me a hand with this setup all would be greatly appreciated~
