So you have 2 100W speakers (rms or peak?) and what kind of amp are you running? Usually you set your amp gains as high as you can without distortion (to put it simply).

are you talking about the internal amp in the 9807? if you are then a few things.
the amp won't be putting out 50w, more like 15-20RMS, so you will be fine just hooking up the speakers to the rear ch.'s... if you are talking about an actual amp, or when you upgrade in the future, be carefull giving those 'craig' speakers power... use it sparingly.

The amp i was going to put in i got it checked out and it turned out it was from 92 and put out the same amount of power as the deck, the speakers are 100 watt peak (i think). what kinda amp do you suggest buying?

Whatever the amp was, if it put out 50Wx4 (RMS) that's a lot more than your deck is putting out... like I said before, you're deck isn't putting out 50w per ch. unless the amp was rated for 15-18w RMS, it would be an improvement...

what kind of amp was it?
