Go to your dealer you bought it from, I'm sure they will lend a hand...
on a side note, the N2 isn't like the N1, as it just required grounding out a wire, but my understanding is that the N2 uses the VSS wire, or GPS to determine the vehicles motion, thus locking out DVD playback...

I wouldn't feel comfortable assisting you in doing something like this, as many many accidents have been directly related to drivers watching DVD's while driving... you'll just have to do your own searching, and I would like to think that there aren't any other members here that would help you with such a task...

I just bought a Pioneer Avic N2.

I'll be installing it PRO. on Tuesday, May 22, 2007.

I want to have it bypass. I want my friends or passenger to be able to watch while I'm driving. I'll be going to Maimi, Toronto & Chicago and it would be very nice to have my pioneer avic n2 bypass. It would suck if I didn't.
I paid so much for it and not able to have it on or watch while driving, it sucks. It's not for me to watch but who's in my car. I know it's not safe for me (THE DRIVER). But it's but my friends to be able to.

If anybody knows how to please contact me at andre_diego@hotmail.com

The guy who's installing it won't do it for me.

Cya!

It can be done easily. Either on the unit or the hide-a-way processor you will find a sticker which can be peeled back. Under it will be a dip switch. Flip it and your good.

Is being able to watch a dvd while driving worth going to jail for 10-25 years for vehicular manslaughter? Might want to consider that one......maybe it is your best friend or significant other in the passenger seat, perhaps a 4 and 6 year old brother and sister in the minivan that you just split in half, maybe it will be only you. Is it worth it? Ask any police officer who the most at risk driver is on our roads today, it is the male 16-25 and now you want to drive with a dvd player's safeguard bypassed........ think about it please.

Agreed. Even if you are the ONE driver out there who NEVER looks at the DVD while driving, what do you think an insurance company is going to call out fault to if you do get in an accident? Even one that may not have been your fault... That would suck.
