| What REM means is remote. It is the voltage input for an amplifer's internal relay switch. All this does is provide a 12 volt source to turn the amplifer on (not power the amplifier. That comes from your main power run). If you cannot find the REM wire on your deck, you can tap a 12 volt source from your fuse panel and feed it to your amp. Make sure you install a switch if you do it this way as this is required to turn your amp on and off. If you connect it through your deck, you would not need the switch as the deck does the switching for you....
