when installing a new deck, hooking up the power antenna to the power antenna wire off the deck is the only proper way to get your antenna to go up and down?

or do you need to buy something else?

i always thought it was just teh 1 wire...

thanks for your time...

There are three wires that go to you antenna, a black one for ground, a red one for positive (5.5v iirc) and a yellow or blue remote wire. For your antenna to go up and down, you have to connect the remote wire to the blue wire coming out of your deck (and have power running to the antenna). Don't forget to connect your antenna signal feed (the black wire with a tube thing on the end)

What car? On some cars the control wire at the deck is not a simple +12v connection..
