an amp that puts out 500-600W RMS at the impedance you require.... search around, and decide what features you need in the amp, and go from there.

You're looking for 500-600wRMS @ 2 ohms... I'd get a 1 channel for this.

Is this 250w RMS for one, or both subs combined ?

Also, I would look for a Mono Channel Amp. Run the subs in a paralell, ( look on, www.the12volt.com ) for specs and such.
Are the subs single, or duel voice coil ?

If single, do the same thing I am doing. I have both subs in a parellel in the box, running a Mono Amp, at 2ohms output.
Because two 4ohm subs in a parellel need a 2ohm amp.

Sorry, I am still new to car audio.

The subs are a 10 inch pioneer IMPP with intergrated voice coil cooling system and are 4 ohm.

Also i'm gonna be using my old 4 ch amp to run my front and rear 6"X8" speakers. I know i can split the turn on wire but for the power wire do i have run a complete seperate power. in other words two power cables from the battery?

I think what people are trying to find out is are the subs single voice coil (SVC) or duel voice coil (DVC).

If they are duel 4 ohm voice coils then you'll need to run at either a 1 ohm (all four coils in parallel) or 4 ohm load (each one of the subs 2 coils in parallel with the two subs in series). Correct me if I'm wrong.

If both single 4 ohm voice coils then you'll want to run them at 2 ohms. There are lots of web sites that will explain how this works, I cant think of any at the moment.

You should decide on a configuration because many amps will have different power ratings at different resistance loads, generally the lower the resistance the higher the power rating.

Pritty much the same type of set up I am doing for my 1st car.
As for the main power wire, run a wire from the battery, ( with a fuse of course ) to a distrubition block. This will split the main wire, into 2 or more branches, to run to your amps.
Jsut recieved my distrubition block today
