Guys,

I got this unit and want to install it. Before i start i wanted to ask a few questions:

1. Where/what colour is the speedsense wire in the 2004 jetta.

2. Where/what colour is the reverse sense wire.

3. What is the best location to mount the GPS antenna.

Hey man,

1. VSS is Blue/White located in instrument cluster blue plug pin 3

2. Reverse is Black/Blue located in drivers kick

3. I've gotten away with gps antennas working on the dash with the supplied metal disc undernethe. actually most of the cars i've done nav have had the antennas on the dash with no issues. if you want tho you can mount it outisde.

Seems that you have done a jetta, how do you go about securing the head unit. The Eclipse AVN5435 doesn't come with a mounting cage and as you probably know the factory unit has click in brackets, could you suggest some what i could mount it.
