Hey guy's, I am getting ready to purchase a new system but this time I would like to do the Big 3 on my 94 Cavy with 4awg wire along with factory wire. My question is Hell the hell is it done on a Cavy, Its not just the normal battery neg to Chassis, Alternator pos to battery pos and engine block to Chassis. For some reason it is battery neg to Chassis, Alternator to Starter then to Battery pos, engine block to firewall. So does that mean I will be doing a big 4 instead of big 3? Chevy does some weird $hit sometimes..

the big 3 is your neg. ground.
frame
engine
body

then you can do the pos.
alt. to battery. if you take out the bat. there is proabably a fuse or regulator
located underneath. about a one foot length, no big deal.
your battery sits on an island so your bridging your neg. to solve any looping.
electrons are looking for the least resistance
best tip is copper wire conducts better than steel

l have 3 amps grounded to a block which goes back to the battery, never to the car.

okay thanks for the tip. Do you think its better to wire the amps ground directly to the battery neg? right now with my current setup i have them wired to the chassis.

My new chev also came wired alt to starter to battery. Yes, you can oversize them both. The problem will be fitting all the new connections on the same terminals as the existing ones.
