Ok so I'm going to be running my 4ch active for my front components. It puts out 100wRMS to all channels, so each tweet will be recieving 100w. The bad part is each are only rated to 60wRMS. I was thinking of ways to keep this under control when it occured to me that I might be able to run a center 5ch tweet or 2. If It were 2, each would point slightly to either passenger. First thing I'm wondering is if this is possible. If so, what will I need and in what way do I wire it all up? Can I just run them in series or parallel with my other tweets?

Because he's going active?

I wouldn't worry about the tweeters too much, just cross them over properly and be responsible with the volume control.

Sure but I thought it would be cool to dabble in the fitting of some nice center channel too :P Also Steve said he would find me an inline volume control or something about 3 weeks back, but I think he's forgotten, lol. Silly Steve.

Why would you want another tweet in there?
Just run the two you have and set the gains appropriately. The gain control is there for a reason.
I got my tweet gain barely up on my amp, they don't need lots of juice to get loud.

Another tweet because the highs are the first thing lost by anything being offset from perfect, say if I got a fat passenger and he/she is blocking up the tweet and the mid. I'll still hear some of the mid through his/her gluttonous rolls, but the tweet will be completely muffled. Also, it will definately raise my sound stage as my tweets will be door mounted. If I have one straight pointed out or preferably 2 tweets in the dash pointed in opposite directions and possibly still in stereo rather than mono, it should provide an awesome sound. Question, if Im just tapping into the wires, do the tweets all have to be the same make and model?
