Hey guys how goes it?

I have a question for all of you. I wanted to maintain my stock head unit for various reasons (aesthetics, 6dics mp3 etc). Therefore I purchased an AudioControl LC6 unit to integrate the factory source unit to aftermarket quality output for my amps. Here is the link for the unit: http://www.mobileaudiocontrol....31215

Currently I have a 2dr 2007 VW Rabbit with the upgraded 6disc mp3 player and 10 speakers. From what I have read the Rabbits do not use an external amp. There is a 6.5"/4" and 1" 3way set upfront and a 6.5"/1" 2way comp in the rear. I also found that there is a possibility that there is basically an "8ch" output from the head unit. 6ch for the front and 2ch for the rear.

So here is my problem my AudioControl unit has front, rear and sub input. Basically I want to utilize the front and rear outputs on my factory headunit to power the front and rear channels on my amp as the factory system does not have a sub output.

Does anybody know if the crossovers are built into the head unit or external? All I need to find is a full pass signal for front L/R and rear L/R.

Thanks in advance for the help. It has been tough finding any comprehensive information on the OEM audio in my car.

Also just incase anybody is interested this is the gear I will be using.
2007 VW Rabbit 2dr
Factory HU
AudioControl sound processor
JL 300/4 bridged to a 2ch amp to run my set of CDT HD-642 3way components
JL 500/1 to run a Alpine 12" Type R until I decide on a better 10" SQ orientated sub.
I am also constructing a false floor under the hatch to mount my amp and crossovers to keep everything hidden and outta sight.

Sorry for the long post...thanks again.

I would take out the deck and find out what outputs it really has, theres no sense guessing and you know what opinions are worth.
Take out the factory speakers and you'll find out how they were wired.

I asked for wiring info, even bought the wiring diagram, for my car before i started and all the info was wrong. My car had a standard 4 speaker output, and a mini amp/crossover to drive the "premium" 8 speaker system.

Good Luck!

most shops should have an audiocontrol meter so u can run a pink noise cd and meter the outputs that way u can pick the best outputs
if the lc6 is new the shop u got it from mite trade for the lc8 that way all outputs will be used
