I fully agree with Haunz on this one...This is only a two amp application....You should not have to worry about a relay...

And i agree with myself, haunz, and smpl. I have ran 2-3 amps off of one remote wire before. Never had any problems.

I agree also. Most HU's have built in protection circuits if the current draw is too much on the remote line. I had an old Kenwood KAC 115s (6 year old bottom of the line Kenwood) and it had protection built in. When the current draw exceeded the limits, the HU simply cut power to the remote. I haven't played with that on my current Alpine, but I assume if companies were putting that protection into their bottom of the line stuff years ago, every deck should have the protection built into it - it just makes sense.
