I just bought a Toyota fj cruiser, and going to change the factory audio system. I got a Pioneer AVIC-D3(50w*4) as a Nav. deck, four 3 1/2 Infinity speakers(RMS 25w/each), and two 6*9 Infinity speakers(RMS 100W/each).
But I think I need to install an Amplifier to suport them, which one is better? If I wanna install a Subwoofer, do I need two Amplifier(4-way and 2-way)? Need ur helps~ Thanks~~

Get a 4 channel. run the 3.5"s off of the deck. Run the 6.5"s off 2 channels of the amp, bridge the other two for the sub.
Or, buy two amps, a mono amp for the sub(s), and a 4 channel for 4/6 speakers.
But why do you have four 3.5"s?

Or parallel the 3.5"s to 2 sets of 2 ohms, run them off the front channels, run the 6x9"s off the back channels, and get a new sub amp.

The fj cruiser has two 3.5"s in front and two 6*9s on the front doors. and 2 speakers on the roof, but I do not know what size they are. And two 3.5"s at rear. So I bought four 3.5"s and two 6*9s, I do not want to do too much, so just change the factory speakers and deck.
Then I can use my new deck to suport the four 3.5"s and buy an 4-way Amp to suport 6*9s and sub?
Thanks~~

Go with the response above your last reply.
I forgot it would bring the ohms only down to 2ohms.
So amp, front channels running the 3.5"s (2 speakers per channel). and the rear channels running the 6"x9"s (caleld them 6.5"s earlier, meant 6"x9"s).
Then a seperate mono amp for the sub(s)
And dont use your deck to run any speakers, cause I dont think it will run down to 2ohms.

I have something that you might like. The new model retails for $550, the last years amp sells for much cheaper than that. Same guts but a different candy coating. Drop me a pm if this interests you.

Thanks, but I think that is too much for me.
How is this one?
JBL CS60.4 - 320Wrms 4 Channel
60x4@4OHMS
80x4@2OHMS
160x2@4OHMS
is that under 12V?
