it has all the parts for 1974-up ford/chrysler/lincon/mercury and jeep vehicles

has anybody ever used this kit?

i need to install my deck in my 2003 dodge ram 1500

what parts do i need from the kit!? i don't understand the directions!

over 1/2 of what you are looking at you do not need
fined the one you need (i think you have it )
pop the dash off and go for it

you do not need the small parts
the one you have go out to your truck pop the dash see what you need on the plate and remove the othere parts off it
if your set up needs all 4 holes keep them and use it

^ Yep. Just keep the mounting tabs that are in the same spot as the ones on the factory deck. All the small loose parts should not be needed in your case.

^ Should explain what you found to maybe help someone else doing their own deck.

I assume you realized those crazy punched shapes in the front of the can (sleeve) are to be bent out to secure it to the dash kit.

haha yea

i knew they held it in, but i figured it would need more support then that

but turns out if u bend up like 8 tabs, some of which are almost to tight (i just bent up half of the tab) u can secure it pretty good.

now i just have to finish sound dampening, wiring, speakers, and tweeters

woot, it shall be a fun weekend

I bought one of those install kits when I went to put my HU in my CRV, worst directions ever. Ikea has better instructions. I ended up returning it and picked one up off of ebay that was fully designed for my vehicle, came preassembled too
