| Well, I would take the ground from the amp off the battery and attach it to a pure metal surface such as the chassis. Amp's use +12V, remote, and ground wires, not +12, remote, and negative. Negative doesn't constitute as a ground.
If you ever hear a buzz or screeching sound coming from anything electrical, check for a bad ground.
