ok... i soldered all the wires from my hu to the instalation kit harness, when i plug the radio first it's always on.. ( the red wire from my car (jetta tdi 2002) always has power) so i'll try and find some switched power somewhere. But problem is the radio does not respond to any keys ( eg power on/off, open cd door, select chanel) all it does is scroll the chanels and sometimes beeps!!!

any ideas?
