i have an older alpine deck too and i had to get an adapter cable from alpine..that has the ai-net plug on side then goes out to RCA's....then i hooked that up to an RCA to headphone jack cable..that hooks up to the ipod..works great...not sure if they still make the cable though..it was bought years ago..but just check with your local alpine dealer

The aux input on an alpine deck is usually the ai-net connection..alpine has a cable (not sure if they do anymore) but its ai-net to female rca's and you hook that to the back of your deck...then from the rca's..you connect male rca to a 1/8" stereo jack plug...which connects to your ipod jack. You'll want to get a charger for it as well that connects to your 12v source (cig lighter)

If you have just a regular aux input...just use that... but its the same idea.. just not using the ai net

oh ok i got ya now... so you have your aux input on the front of the deck?...thats' easy then..just go to any audio store ..like radio shack/the source..not sure what you have in your area..but any store that sells audio accessories/cables...they will have it... its not an uncommon cable really...
