Well, I have the same problem, my new amplifier I just bought worked fine for about a week until all the fuses blew. I replaced all fuses and it worked fine but, after a while the fuses on my power cord blew again. I replaced it blew again. What exactly might be wrong?

Ummmmm, my amp keeps blowing the fuse in my power cord only. The amp worked fine when I got it and it worked but after a while the fuse blew and i replaced it and it still keeps blowing. Whjat could be wrong?

just outta curiosity.... is you power and ground the same color?

check to make sure u have the power from batt in the terminal marked BATT and the wire grounded to the body attached to terminal labeled GND

if u accidentally connected them backwards then connected them the way it should be you probably blew a diode in the amp called the polarity dioide.

get the amp serviced it should be fairly cheap

Where could I go to get my amplifier serviced?

Okay...I got this new amplifier, a visonik 300 watt mono channel amplifier that runs a 4 ohms. With this amp, i hooked up a 6 ohm speaker set from walmart up to it. after a while, the amplifier started to weaken and not play as loud. I kept turning up the amp to keep the sound up because it sounded like it was not powering the speakers at the usual sound level. after about a week, the protection light came on. I tried checking the ground and power cables and they are fine. i checked fuses and even replaced them and the protection light is still on. What exactly happened and how can i get it serviced?

well with a 6ohm load the amp should go all day with out a problem, but it is a visonik amp... and they arent exactley know for being reliable. also depending on the wal-mart speakers you could have melted the voice coils causing the amp to see a strange load in turn frying something inside the amp, there are alot of places that do electronic repair and they are often inexpensive, but i would first try hooking something else up to the amp and see if it still does it, then look inside the speaker set up, (if it is a multi speaker system inside of one box) and check all the wiring in there as well, if a negative is touching a positive you'll go into protect mode.
