Special thanks to Adam at Team All-Tech for the Kinetik 1400 -we both were shocked on how little room was left over. The car is a 07 Honda FIT

I used 1/4" plexi to mount the ANL and MANL fuse holders and secure the battery. 2 gauge ground for the batt - tomorrow I'm going to install 2 gauge for the Alt and Engine...wish me luck finding everything!

I think it turned out great.

I'm a little concern the plexi may or may not crack - any comments on this?

Cheers

Julian

well i used thin, like 1/4" thin Plexiglas to build a laptop cooler for a 17" toshiba that gets the crap beat out of it and the glass hasnt cracked yet and all the weight is on top of it... and it has two 120mm holes in it for the fans plus mounting holes etc, and the laptop weighs like 30lbs so.... i think this should be okay if anything id use a thin piece of rubber under the 'glass so that and movement is absorbed by it instead of the glass its self...

Jo Excellent - Completely didn't think of that - Maybe it's the 4 beers I consumed while doing this.

Cheers

hahah well i should also mention i used a rather large 4 axis horizontal cnc mill to do all the work on the cooler hahahaha and the plastic didnt crack once! no matter how much i milled and drilled! its alot stronger then i would have thought!

I to was drinking at the time hahahha.. oh and the legs are plexi for the cooler to and i just epoxied it together and like i said its still running strong and that was a good 4 months ago

Theres a scratch in it... thats what the line is.....

Jo - did you wire the 2 120mm(man thats huge) fans to a usb connector?
I bought a Vantec Laptop cooler. I thought of making something similar for my MacBook PRo but since they only come with 2 usb's. I figure the built-in hub was worth it!

Do those lights dance to the beat too? LMAO

no! usb only gave 5v it ran the fans but this laptop wouldnt idle for 10 min without shutting down from over heating... so i used a 110v AC - DC convertor and wire the power plus for the fans to that so its fully adjustable up to 210cfm and the laptop has been running ever since. it was actually over kill you get cold sitting in front of it hahahah.. heres a pic of the converter. Also you can buy little volt stepper that will up usb to a full 12v and they are really cheap! The girl i made this for used to use a store bought thing with little fans that was USB it was atleast 6 times as loud as this one and it didnt work, this thing is quiet and effective... not to mention it looks badass with the blue leds

Dude it's winter - give it a rest! - Plus I get it rust proofed each year at crown. They suggest not to wash the engine bay
