Speaker install polarity question

Hello!

I installed some Infinity 6x9 speakers today in my car and for the time being I am using the existing wiring. It seemed simple enough, however the foolish people at Delco marked the wires "A" and "B" instead of the standard "+" and "-" as is marked on my new speakers. I went with my gut instinct and installed the A as + and the B as -. I tested it both ways and it seems to me it sounds best that way but there wasnt really a difference. To make a long story short I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about Delco speakers and if I made the right choice or not.

I do plan to hook up the speakers with nice 16 gauge speaker wire (which I already have, just too lazy at the moment) in the near future just so you know haha.

The wires are messed up colours haha on the left speaker they were yellow and red I think (not sure about the red) and on the right side they were light blue and dark blue :S The car is a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird Convertible.

^ Incorrect. In a GM car, it is the BROWN that is +, yellow negative, and the DARK BLUE is + and light blue negative.

For the front, the tan and light green are + and the grey and dark green are -
